1. What is the author’s central argument (thesis)? The central thesis about the argument is about the minimum wage of Manitoba which is not catching up with the general wage in the rest part of Canada and the US. And Manitoba should change that, to in order better support the local society. ( Rigaux, C. and Andrusieczko, T., 2019) The author wrote this article to persuade the population who earn the minimum wage and who did not happy with the minimum wage fight for increasing minimum wage for their own benefit and Manitoba local community economy. ( Rigaux, C. and Andrusieczko, T., 2019) 2. What evidence does the author present to support their central argument? The author has provided the comparison of wage with other place and city pay wage, for example, the minimum wage in Manitoba is $11.35 even after the improvement in the past October, before October, only $11.05 per hour of work when labour is get minimum wage, and look farther in Ontario and New York is getting at least $15 per hour for work, which shows how different amount between the city pay wage.( Rigaux, C. and Andrusieczko, T., 2019) Other than the comparisons with other provinces has improved their minimum wage, the major issues with such a low pay of wage have resulted on a group of labour earning
