CAREER OPPORTUNITIES: There are some features from this specialization that enhance job placement. The stronger quanti- tative understanding that is a part of economics provides a desirable element in the student’s skill set. At the same time, communication skills are developed and strengthened. Jobs in finance and banking predominate, but students with a similar background have also found positions with political agencies and working for the govern- ment. Example positions: STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS: Students are encouraged to join the Economics Club. This group has both social and intellectual activities.
