TD Khang History 140 Recitation 2/16/12 The Battle of Algiers The Battle of Algiers is an interesting movie that depicts the struggles of a colonized society to become free from the colonizer. The situation in this movie greatly reminded me of the war in Iraq. Replace the names with America and Iraq and the story will probably play out the same way. The most interesting part and most questioned part was how the revolt against France sprung up again after all of the leaders were killed or captured. I guess someone always rose up to fill the void. This movie helped me understand a little bit of the mind of a terrorist and how they view large powerful nations that seem to be closing in on their freedoms....
