Unformatted text preview: Sabrina Baez ENG 345 3/1/2012 Word Play #1 Peanut Butter Buffalo “Oh my God we hit the mother load!” This has to be the best day of my life. It was a combination of all my favorite things together in the same place; a depressed and single girl’s wet dream. “The Chocolate Bar” might as well call it Heaven or Euphoria. The walls were velvety red oozing Hollywood glamour. They were plastered with images of melty chocolate, shirtless men with the bodies of Greek gods, those said men covered in melty chocolate. Obviously the décor had a woman’s touch. The lighting was romantically dim, which is said to be the most flattering kind for a woman’s appearance. The tables were intimately close with aromatic candles glowing steadily on each. I felt like I was finally home. Even the air smelled good enough to eat. The space was cozy and inviting, the plush chairs welcomed weary limbs and my head was swimming with relaxation. “No way, we have to look around first and decide what to order, and then we sit and relax” Chantel nagged as she pulled me to my feet. I guess after watching me mope around in my favorite oversized grey sweats for 2 weeks, doing nothing but watching the lifetime channel and occasionally (or often, depends how you see it) crying, my best friend since high school Chantel Morris decided she just couldn’t take it anymore enough was enough. “Girl first of all, gimme the remote”, she said as she snatched the remote away from me and hastily turned off the TV. “Look I know you’re sad or whatever but A). Jackson was a major prick; I told you that from the beginning and B). You’ve had two weeks to get over him, which is plenty of time! All I’ve seen you do for the last two weeks is watch TV, Baez 2 cry, and run your pain away. Have you even eaten a real meal today?
