Course Description: This course examines the determination of income, employment, the price level, interest  rates and exchange rates in the economy.   Piece-by-piece, we construct a theoretical  model that describes how each of these variables is determined in both the long- and  short-run.  After the model is completed, we investigate issues of business cycle theory,  foreign trade and macroeconomic policy.   Special attention  will be paid to current  developments in these issues.
