Objects ~There are several different types of object in MATLAB, but the ones we’re primarily concerned with will ‘text’ objects and ‘patch’ or ‘fill’ objects. ~An object is graphical image created within the axes of a figure window.

For example, the code: x=[0 1 1 0]; y=[0 0 1 1]; patch(x,y, 'r' ) Generates an object (a square) created by the input x and y data points, and makes it the color red.

Patch and Text So, to create these two objects the commands are, respectively: patch(x_data,y_data, ’color’ ) text(x_location,y_location, ’whatever text’ )

Object? For that, we use handles. When an object is created, MATLAB assigns it to a specific handle, which is just a numerical value that MATLAB identifies the object as.
