What is a sweep? A sweep is a feature with a user-sketched  section and a user-defined trajectory. What is a trajectory? It is the extrude path of a swept feature.   Sweep trajectories can either be sketched by  the used or selected on the workscreen. Sweeps in Wildfire

Sweeps Requires the definition of one section  and one trajectory, in that order. The trajectory can either be open or  closed. Sweeps in Wildfire

Sweeps Any planar surface or datum plane can  be used to sketch the trajectory. Sketched trajectories can only be 2D. Selected trajectories can be used to  define a 3D path. (a part edge) Sweeps in Wildfire

Sweeps in Wildfire Sweeps in Wildfire Sweeps (attributes) When a swept features open trajectory meets with an existing feature, you have the option of either merging the ends of the trajectory or leaving the ends free . The Merge Ends option will smoothly merge the new swept feature with the adjacent solid feature. (The trajectory has to be aligned with the existing feature.)
