Dear All, Please find the attached three practice problems(increasing difficulty) for your practice.Use Northwest corner method to generate the initial feasible solution.(You will see that allocation using Northwest method results in less than M+N-1 allocations in Problem 3). I also came across a link just now which explains the transportation simplex method in a very easy way(with additional practice problems) .Please go through the link once , before solving the problems.The link uses different notation but the concept is the same.
