Green Faith: An Interfaith Conversation on Eco-Consciousness And Activism The mission of Wisconsin Interfaith Power and Light shall be to inform, train, and activate people of all faiths and faith communities to take concrete steps in response to global warming through the promotion of energy conservation, energy efficiency and renewable energy in order to protect Earth’s ecosystems, safeguard public health, and ensure just, sufficient and sustainable energy for all. Panelists will address the following the questions: What aspects of scripture and practice support or challenge environmentalism? With such a strong focus on the afterlife, why do Abrahamic faith traditions care about protecting the earth in this life? How can faith- based and non-faith-based organizations work together more effectively on environmental issues? 3 components: Website- o Topics related to islam in Europe, in south east asia etc o Blog: talk about Koran, activism, music, sexuality -Project that is stable and longevity -The core values are eternal and ongoing. -8000 twitter followers
