Carly Geller 3/6/12 Danny Spitzberg ES112 Green Faith: An Interfaith Conversation on Eco-Consciousness and Activism This Tuesday evening, I attended Green Faith: An Interfaith Conversation on Eco- Consciousness and Activism. Green Faith is an organization that came about after 9/11 that focuses on the connection between environment and faith. This was the group’s first real event with an audience watching them discuss the issues. This lecture consisted of a little introduction by a speaker who spoke about what was going to be discussed. She also showed a video based on the idea that love, compassion, and concern for God’s creation can have rewards for those who do it. The rest of the event consisted of a panel of speakers who all had connections to both nature and God. It was very interesting to realize how faith and the environment were so closely related to one another. The mission of Green Faith is to inform, train, and activate people of all faiths and faith communities to take concrete steps in response to global warming through the
