INTRO I. (Gain attention and interest) I’m sure many of you have seen the movies “Animal House” or “Legally Blonde”. If not, they both portray the exaggerated and stereotypical life of college students involved with fraternities and sororities. This stereotype includes red Solo cups, beer pong, blonde sorority sisters, and of course, toga parties. Well, as a proud, first year member of Chi Omega here at the University of Wisconsin- Madison, I can assure you, there is way more to Greek life than snapping your fingers for your sorority sisters and cheering “toga, toga!” II. (Reveal topic) I honestly wasn’t so sure on what to first expect from sorority life, but now, I realize that I made the best decision by involving myself in Greek life here at college. III. (Establish credibility) I am just one of the 400,000 active members in Greek life nation wide. Though 400,000 people sounds like a big number, only 3% of the college students in the United States go Greek.
