Carly Geller 10/16/11 CA100 Aaron Informative Speech Self-Assessment For my Informative Speech on the “Freshman 15” and how to not gain weight in your first year of college, I believe that overall, I did very well. Intimidated at first by the seven-minute time requirement, I overcame my worries as I was writing my speech since I saw that there was so much to talk about! Writing my preparation outline became easy once I saw how much information there was on my very audience-relevant topic online and in books. However, I do believe that my delivery could improve and that there are a few things I would change, especially with my use of my visual aid if I could do it all over again. As for my topic as a whole, I believe that it was the perfect choice. It was completely relevant not only to my life, but also to my audience’s lives. Everyone seemed very interested the whole time and I felt as if my diction was completely understandable and totally related to everyone in the room. I was very happy with the organization of my
