Fall of a Giant Chrysler filed for bankruptcy in March of 2009. Chrysler received 5.1 million in bailout funds. After taking the bailout Chrysler was ordered to reorganize its labor unions by U.S. Treasury guidelines April 29, 2009 came to an agreement with labor unions that cut worker benefits, reduced time off, and created a healthcare trust for retirees.
