Fundamentals of Geology Lab Syllabus Objective : This lab is meant to reinforce the material from the lecture and the text, by providing you with hands on experience analyzing geologic problems. It will help you develop the basic skills used by geologists, and it is meant to be fun, so have fun with it! TA: Alison Burnop Email Contact : alisonburnop@u.boisestate.edu Office : MG 231 Office Hours : Email is the best contact method or stop by the office Grading : This lab is worth 25% of your grade for Geology 100. Labs are due at the end of the lab period unless otherwise noted. Quizzes : Reading quizzes will be given at the beginning of the lab period and will be worth 10 points each. These quizzes are meant to cover the material that will be covered in that day’s lab, so if you read your lab before class, you will do fine. Be on time or you may not take the quiz. Attendance : There will be NO MAKE-UPS . If you do not attend a lab, you will not receive credit for the lab or quiz. If you are tardy, please enter quietly, if you are more than 10 minutes late you may be asked to make up the lab at another time. Special arrangements for making up a lab must be made at least one day in ADVANCE
