1. Abstraction Means defining an abstract model for a group of  objects, without worrying about the   implementation details. A software developer, designs this abstract model  by defining a class. A class has the definition for  properties and behavior of the object. Removes the complexity. 2. Encapsulation    An object holds all its properties and behavior in a nut  shell. OOP is based on 4 principals:

3. Inheritance   After a base class is defined, a more specific class(es)  can be derived from the base class.  The derived class is the child, and base class is the  parent. Ex: Assume a base class that represents vehicles,  clsVehicle .  We can derive a class for cars from that, and  name it  clsCar .
