Abstract
It is believed that symbiotic visions can drive employees and organizations toward a common
objective based on the premise that people have a high level of self-motivation and
engagement when they are working toward something very personal. The field of organizational
development has been aspiring to help organizations and people align their visions for decades
without much, if any, empirical support for the role of personal purpose and goals in the
symbiotic relationship with a company vision. This qualitative study examines the role personal
purpose and goals play in how high performing leaders align to their company's vision. Whether
and how senior managers articulate this alignment, and its correlation to their motivation and
engagement, was examined. An observation was that most senior managers within
organizations with a well-developed and widely known higher purpose vision are driven by
something personal, identified as either personal goals or a personal purpose. One of the key
findings is that personal purpose and goals, when aligned to a company vision, appear to impact
motivation and engagement in different ways

Vision & mission statement
A vision statement describes what the company desired in coming years as a mission statement
is a brief description of why company exist. Vision statement focus on tomorrow what
organization want to become while Mission statement focus on today what the organization
does (clearvoice, 2020). For example vision statement of Tesla Inc. is to accelerate the world’s
transition to sustainable energy while mission statement for Tesla Inc is to create the most
compelling car company of the 21

century by driving the world’s transition to electric vehicles.
(oberol, 2019). Both statement support the company vision and mission statement and facilities
each other. Like an organization there are individual who have their own vision statement they
look for. In modern world people not only look for salary based job but they wants to feel
connected to organizations. We can take Tesla as example and how they connect to their
employee. The cooperate mission statement “to accelerate” pushes tesla to advancement in
sustainable technology as they have to constantly innovate these have attracted many
