WEEK 5 CHECKPOINT The conventional lodging customer in 2007 is actually divided between leisure and business, becoming 44% business in addition to 56% leisure. The actual report then stopped working who, where, just how much, how many times, the reason why, and when. I am going to elaborate here. The average room price in '07 was $103.87 for each room night time. I summarize the room nights because this is not really a per person cost, that is so obvious within the travel business. This particular rate is up $6.09 from the earlier year. It is important to point out the significance the travel as well as tourism business has on the nation’s economic system. It's one of many nation’s biggest sectors and influences the economy. Furthermore, I'm dumbfounded through the total consequences about the economy. The malfunction of everyday, hourly, minute, and finally calculating $23,500 per second is totally frustrating! Working in the industry and experiencing directly the decrease throughout the last few years make all these figures almost surreal.
