Please hand in your copy of the test with your work, so that I can see any additions which you have made to the diagrams (e.g., assignment of currents, nodes, and loops for Problem 4.) ______________________________________________________________________________ 1. (10 points) (a) Suppose you are given a black box, which you are told contains a circuit with only batteries and resistors. You can make electrical connections to two electrical terminals on the box, which are connected to the circuit. Using the two terminals, explain what measurements you would make in order to determine the Thévenin equivalent voltage, E eq , and Thévenin equivalent resistance, R eq , of the components in the box. (b) Now connect a resistor R across the two terminals of the black box. What is the power dissipated in R?
