In Sharpsburg Pennsylvania in 1869 Henry John Heinz founded Heinz. Today Heinz is a multi-national company that does ten billion dollars in sales; which accounts for more than 650 million bottles of ketchup sold each year. Ketchup is only one product that Heinz produces and sells. In addition to Ketchup, Heinz has more than fifteen other brands; including other condiments, meals and snacks, and infant nutrition (Heinz, 2011). Today we are introducing a new product called the Tri-Pac. The Tri-Pac is a tri- tubed bottle where each tube contains; mayonnaise, mustard, or ketchup. The Tri-Pac bottle will be flip top rotating cap, cap orientated on the bottom for easy dispensing, no more need to buy three separate products and saves space. Standard Industry codes are used in order to classify products into categories by a numerical code. The product that Team A is introducing to the market contains three different products in one package for the H.J. Heinz Co. Team A has to make sure that all codes applicable are present as one, or all three products may have their own individual code. In this particular situation included in the product are ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise. Sorting by the SIC mustard and mayonnaise are classified within the same code. Mustard and mayonnaise is classified as: division D: marketing, Major Group 20: food and kindred products, industry group 203, and 2035 that includes: “Establishments primarily engaged in pickling and brining fruits and vegetables, and in manufacturing salad dressings, vegetable relishes, sauces, and seasonings. Establishments primarily engaged in manufacturing catsup and similar tomato sauces
