Explain the differences and analyze the degree of alignment between your values and the organization’s values as reflected by the organization’s plans and actions. For Harley Davidson, they express the deepest appreciation with their loyal customers and enthusiast’s alike. It goes to say that they express the same for the people that work there. There will be many differences in the values that the individual will have compared to the business. For instance, the individual will always have a free mind, which cannot be controlled, but managed. The company has lain out and designed specific values that they want to maintain as a company. When employees are not following the guidelines, there are actions taken to assure they are. At Harley Davidson, they want to keep the focus on making the customers happy, but to do that all employees must be respectable to the values Harley Davidson has. The business runs when everyone is on the same page, happy employee’s means a good work day. “Our team-based, collaborative approach to work places individuals in an interactive environment that fosters growth while promoting teamwork” (Harley-Davidson, 2011). For Harley Davidson to succeed in making the best motorcycles, parts and accessories, they must remain true to how they perceive the work environment. A safe, hassle-free and honest work place is their aim, which most individuals would say fits into their values. If these values do not align with individual at work, it would be hard to have this employee work at a productive pace.
