The article I have found explains how even with educational backgrounds, African Americans still have harder times getting the higher paying jobs. This article shows that even with an education, your pay will differ from those with or without the same degree of education. This case study was between both male and female whites and African Americans and it explains how even with higher education there was still no direct relation between education and pay salaries. This study was administered between 1989 and 1997 and between these times both men and women of both races faced different results due to wages and education. In relation to wages and education, this took in to factor the rate of which unemployment affected these statistics. During this time the traditional 2 to 1 ratio between white and black unemployment was now, for blacks at 9 percent and whites at 4 percent, 2.25 times, which is greater than usual.
