Good morning. It has come to my attention that certain member of our Human Resources team has been coming in habitually tardy, for the last couple weeks. I believe that this is an opportunity for us to show the rest of the team that we are not going to tolerate this anymore. We need to reiterate our policies on attendance here at this facility. However, because the HR department has been allowing it to happen, we cannot necessarily fire her for it. I am letting HR know from this point in time, employees are given a single warning, if they are late without prior notice, or a good reason. After the warning, if they are late, they are terminated. We have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy when it come to tardiness. Because this young lady has never been disciplined or talked to about her habitual tardiness, I think that she has come to the point where she thinks that it is OK. I lay the blame at the feet of the Human Resource department head(s), who will be disciplined later as well for allowing this act to be perpetrated over and over again.
