Running Head: THREE COMPANIES The three companies that I chose to write about marketing positions for are Hometown Buffet, Apple, Inc., and Michael’s Craft Store. These three companies are leaders in their areas of industry. They are different industries, and two of them are having some marketing problems. However, Apple, Inc. has no problems, other than their search for a leader with the vision and leadership of Steve Jobs. Hometown Buffet This position is worthy of pursuing, as I worked for this company for 10 years of my life, and I saw all the marketing mistakes they had made, and I believe that I can help to turn around their dwindling business. They had made some marketing errors in their decision to move from an all inclusive meal/beverage price, to a separated meal/beverage price (Hometown Buffet, 2011). Low-hanging fruit is the way to describe this opportunity, because the solution is within reach but they are unwilling to admit they were wrong and go back to what they were doing right.
