What is the pressure in the drum A, at the position “a” in Figure 1 ? The specific gravity (SG) of the fluid in drum A is 0.8. 2. What is the pressure P A in Figure 2 ? The specific gravity of oil is 0.8. 3. A manometer shown in Figure 3 is used to measure the pressure difference at two points on a pipe through which air is flowing at room temperature. Due to some reason, in one of the legs of the manometer (leg A) some air is trapped. Calculate: a) The apparent value of P B (Pascal) b) The percent error introduced by the trapped air c) Suppose that same reading is observed by a water-filled manometer.
