A velocity field of a flow is given by V = x i + x(x-1)(y+1) j , where i and j are unit vectors; x and y are in meters. The x and y components for this two dimensional flow ( u and v ) are in m/s. Plot the streamline that passes through x = 0 and y = 0. Compare this streamline with the streamline through the origin. 2. A velocity field of a flow is given by V = (5z-3) i + (x+4) j +4y k ( m /s) , where i, j and k are unit vectors in x, y and z directions, respectively; x,y and z are in meters. Determine the fluid speed at the origin (x = y = z =0) and on the x axis (y = z = 0). 3. The x and y components of velocity for a two dimensional flow are u = 2.0 y m/s and v = 1 m/s, where y is in meters. Determine the equation for the streamlines and sketch representative streamlines in the upper half plane. 4.
