Unformatted text preview: Week 10 The Endangered Species Act I believe that the government and regulating departments that are in charge of the planets safety and the bill or statutes that protect the environment are very lax in their actions and really could care less about what is happening in the world today. Unless it is something that can help their career along in the political realm usually they just dont seem to care. I believe that mining, logging, and drilling for oil and gas are necessary but, not to the extent of killing off species of animals that are harmless and are just in the way. I think that certain things should be rewritten into the act but, they must be specific and have lots of rules to govern the situations for the safety of the environment and everything in it. There are things going on in the world right now that astound me, especially with the spewing oil out in the gulf.
