Week 11 Environmental Controversy - Environmental Security Security is something that every living creature on this planet must have whether it is for an animal or a human and of course it is something that is very important in our world. I believe that all security is related because whether we are trying to secure freedom with the military and secure our borders of fight a war over oil or land it is all for the security of our territories and everything that lies within them. There are prices that must be paid for the human security that protects our world, they usually encroach the lands and areas that should not be harmed. Wars are fought in areas where humans were never meant to be and as the lands are torn apart and the environment is polluted by people we are compromising

Environmental security is a topic of growing interest in national security affairs and thus has significant implications to the military national defense mission. (King, 2000) We must have security in both areas military and environmental. We just need to know the difference when it comes to saving the environment and completing necessary actions to keep us secure. We should not sacrifice the safety of creatures that occupy our lands for something of no major importance to our lives but, unfortunately this is something that happens all too much these days.
