Week 05 - Listen or Talk > Video Case - Vermex, Inc. 1. At what points in the case would you say Samantha or Ed could have done a better job of communication? Explain. What could they have done better? From the very first scene of this skit Samantha was completely out of the loop as to what’s actually going on with Ed and the sale that he made for the company. Even when she confronted him later in the day Ed was a bit standoffish and tip toed around the questions that Samantha asked him, it was like he was trying to hide all the information about the sale. Ed probably should have communicated a little better with Samantha and then she would not be asking all the probing questions to try and get to the bottom of what’s happening with the sale that he made. These types of questions make the situation seem shady and this can be a bad scenario for someone especially at work. Samantha should have confronted Ed to find out the answers rather than staying there and avoiding the situation. 2.
