PROGRAM OF STUDIES FORM MASTERS DEGREE IN COMMUNICATION General Conditions Complete a minimum of 30 graduate credits subject to the following conditions: o A maximum of 6 graduate credits may be from departments other than Communication, if the student’s major professor approves these credits as substantially contributing to his/her program in advance of enrollment. o A maximum of 6 graduate credits may be earned in courses numbered below 700 (i.e., those designated Undergraduate/Graduate). o One may earn a maximum of 6 credits in Communication 860. o One may earn a maximum of 3 credits in 998. o One may earn a maximum of 3 credits in 999. o One may earn a maximum of 9 credits from the combination of Communication 998, Communication 999 and courses outside the department. o Complete either a thesis or MA Professional Portfolio (MAPP). If one elects to do a thesis, 1 to 6 credits of Communication 990 may count toward the degree.
