Expository essays are similar to other forms of communication that I am familiar because they are written in the second person based on facts relating to any event. The News is an example. The news is supposed to be fact base information that explain and expose specifics topics without the newsman or newswomen being biases. Their information must be fairly presented in a non-biased manner. Expository essays are different because the news media present idea and events even though the news media should not give opinions or show biases. Fact play a major role in the expository essay because the facts used by the supporting the author, supports the thesis of the expository essay. Opinion plays a major role as well because the opinion is the thesis that is backed up by the facts. So I think that both fact and opinion matters in an expository essay....
