Some customers are in larger amount of premium for the insurance, while some are much smaller. The company should classify the customers in each industry into High, middle, and low profitability (like the ABC analysis). So the company can tailor the services and price packages to each group of customers. The following are few possible ways that Federated Insurance can broken down their macrosegment to microsegment by defend the basis of the similarities and differences between decision-making units to have profitable and efficient microsegment. Key criteria For Federated Insurance, it can divide its customers into few segment according to the most important criteria in their purchase decision. For example, quality, supplier and reputation, so we can tailor the plan and presentation to them.
