SARA SHABIR KHAN ATEEQ-UR-REHMAN M.TASHFEEN ALAM KIRAN MUFTI MIRZA KHAN ABSTRACT The establishment of HEC has revolutionized Higher Education in Pakistan and brought many developmental changes to improve the overall quality and standard of universities. This research focuses on the devolution of HEC and its impact on educational institutions of Peshawar. For the purpose of conducting this study a case of IMSciences was selected. The first chapter focuses on the introduction and background of the issue, purpose and limitations of the study and problem statement. Both positive and negative impacts of devolution are also mentioned in this chapter. The second chapter is about all the previous work that has been done in the area of our study. Different journal articles were reviewed and explained in this part of the report. The next chapter is about the theoretical framework in which Theory of Sequential Decentralization is discussed.The methodology used for collecting data was both primary as well as secondary sources. A likert scale questionnaire was developed for gathering the primary data and the secondary data was retrieved from different articles, interviews, internet and TV programs. The data was analyzed through descriptive statistical techniques that is frequency distribution and pie-charts. In the last two chapters recommendations and conclusion were given on the basis of research findings.
