Elmali 1 Fatih Elmali Professor Kathy Weiss EGL 101 01 June 27, 2011 Mystery among Mysteries What is life? On an ominous night, a bunch of strangers stumbled upon a pit-bull as dark as the surrounding night. It was a tragic night, a night when a predator preys upon his prey. The pit-bull, that blended into the dark with its nightly skin, was spotted by these predators in the form of teenagers, who mercilessly set the pitiful pit- bull on fire. The wheels of fate that lead to death was set in motion for the pit-bull that was tortured by the mischievous and merciless teenagers, who have lost the affection of life. This is what led me to go on a journey to discover the meaning and importance of life, which has taken an alternate road throughout the voyage of history. Because of the corruption and misleading of the society, the term life has taken root within the soul of the person inhabiting it. The preciousness of life, no matter who it belongs to, is fading away from the minds and hearts of the people, just like the long lost and forgotten history, which people cannot seem to remember no matter how hard they try. Similarly, war is a constant factor throughout history. War tosses away life, a possession so precious that gave birth to the world, so easily it's scary. Now today's generation also follows
