1.) In this problem, we are trying to minimize cost by finding the optimal psi to run the compressor. 2.) The given water rate of the compressor and the cost of running the compressor. By running the compressor at different, other than optimal, the water rate and the cost will be completely different. 3.) That the cost of the water per gallon and the energy cost per psi stay the same and do not change. They cost of running the compressor would change if these assumptions were untrue (Roy, Alexandre). 4.) After inputting the given equation, I tested it at 85 psi. The first thing that I did to solve the problem was to find the critical points of the given equation. I then built a cost model
