Draw a U-Tube that contains only water on both sides. Where would the water level be on both sides of the tube? Now suppose you hook a vacuum up to one side of the tube, where would the water level be on both sides of the tube? Do the water levels change? Why or Why not? 2. Draw a U-Tube that is filled with water and that contains a semi-permeable membrane at the base of the tube. The semi-permeable membrane is impermeable to NaCl, but is permeable to water and sucrose.
