Financial Times France adjusts to German strength April 15, 2011 Journal This article discusses the somewhat of a struggle going on between France and Germany. The French feel as though the Germans are not continuing their role as a helper of Europe. They feel the Germans are only doing certain things in the EU to reap economic benefits, but when it comes to helping in any “dangerous situation” the Germans will steer clear. However the Germans feel as though they are economically much stronger than the French and that is annoying the French so they are making up excuses to fight with Germany about anything so they can show power. This is an interesting article that shows the tough relationship the major powers in the EU

It seems as though all of the major powers have a hard time adjusting to the concept that they must work together and depend on each other for the benefit of Europe as a whole. This is a perfect example of this, Germany is saying one thing to show its dominance and France is saying something different to portray its power, and both sides are saying they are injecting influence into the other. It will be interesting to see how these major powers act in the future especially as each grow more powerful and think less and less that they need the other....
