Chapter 7: Excel Tutorial (Creating and Using Macros) After completing the tutorial, you will be able to create your own macros in Excel. Macros are used in Excel to make programming in Visual Basic easy. Macros are programs written for Excel that allow you to do certain things in Excel that Excel cannot do by itself. In this tutorial you will use the information provided in the self-study problem. Specifically, you will create the following set of four worksheets for Northern Company: a contents page (where you’ll create the macros), a page for using the physical measure method, a page for using the sales value at split-off method, and a page for using the net realizable value method. Creating and Using Macros— the following steps can be used to create several macros that, in turn, can be used to navigate through various worksheets with ease. 1.
