Chronic (medicine), a persistent and lasting disease or medical condition, or one that has developed slowly Systemic arterial blood pressure- is the force of blood pressure on the arterial walls just after ventricular contraction. Stroke- the rapidly developing loss of brain function(s) due to disturbance in the blood supply to the brain. Myocardial infarction-heart attack-the interruption of blood supply to a part of the heart , causing heart cells to die. Heart failure-inability of the heart to supply sufficient blood flow to meet the body's needs Aneurism- localized, blood-filled balloon-like bulge of a blood vessel . Dangerous if it ruptures. High blood cholesterol can narrow arteries and make you more prone to hypertension. Your systolic and diastolic numbers may not be in the same blood pressure category. In this case, the more severe category is the one you're in. For example, if your systolic number is 160 and your diastolic number is 80, you have stage 2 HBP. If your systolic number is 120 and your diastolic number is 95, you have stage 1 HBP....
