Business Models and Systems Checkpoint One local business that sticks out in my mind is when I went to visit a sick uncle of mine in a small town of Washington that only had a few stores, one called “Java Bloom.” This company figured out a way to achieve a competitive advantage over other companies in the town. What they did was turned a regular convenience store into not only a store that sold some grocery/household products and a small floral section, but they also incorporated a convenient coffee shop for their customers as well. I think that this is the companies’ greatest component for its business model. They sold a variety of tasteful coffee and espressos with light refreshments such as, doughnuts and bagels. This particular concept is what drew so many customers to this store which gave them an advantage over other companies in this town. Business commerce means when people produce and exchange goods or services;
