Incident 2-2: Bad Times at Quality Shoe I think that Mack’s decision to bring all the employees together allowing them to come up with possible solutions to the problem was a great idea. By incorporating the employees’ ideas into the decision-making process of this 20 percent cut could bring about a great solution. If they were to come up with a solution that is workable then they would be pleased with the results, rather than being laid off with no notification and feeling unappreciative of the hard work they have put into the company. This not only aids in strengthening the company values, but the employees are not disappointed with the decision therefore their productivity will not change, even due to the cutbacks. However, I do feel that Mack should have scheduled a mandatory employee meeting to announce to everyone the problems the company is facing instead of approaching Ralph and having him gather the employees to discuss the matter and get their input. If I were Ralph I would have called all the employees together and let them know
