Letter to a European Philosopher To: Soren Kierkegaard Dear Sir, I am writing this letter to convey my opinions and thoughts concerning your work. First of all I would like to thank you and express my appreciation for everything that you have brought to the science of philosophy; and I would also like to add that I have gained a lot of knowledge through the studies of your work. Through your readings I have come to an understanding that you have a strong belief in God. After review of your writings you mention that the center of your problems are due to dread and despair, and you had learned that the only way to escape these problems were to have a burning commitment of faith to God and the infinite(Moore & Bruder, 2008, p. 168). I would like to say that in a way I disagree with this concept that you have because I do not believe in the concept that dread and despair are a direct result of one not having faith in God.
