Amazon is one of the largest retailers online exceeding annual sales of 10 billion dollars. Jeff Bezos started Amazon.com in 1995 by selling books because of the unique customer experience the Web could offer book lovers. Bezos believed that only the Internet could offer customers the convenience of browsing a selection of millions of book titles in a single sitting. (Small Business Notes, 2009) The transformation Amazon made from bookselling to including accessories, electronics, computers, software products etc… into their online business of retail expanded their customer base even more reaching a widespread of customers across the world. Although, Amazon started off as a bookseller online provider they simply switched to being a service provider in order to reach a widespread of customers while increasing sales. Amazon has entrusted two billion dollars on the foundation of their business, in which has made them one of the largest and most trustworthy companies in the world. However, their earnings have decreased to about 4.1% which is less than Wal-Mart’s 5.9% (Rainer & Turban,
