BEGINNING TO READ Phonological Awareness LEARNING TO READ ----Requires that children  have an awareness of sound. Teachers responsibility in early grades : Plan activities and interact so as to draw attention to  phonemes in spoken words. Children's awareness will develop if done consistently!
