MSCI 211 Assignment 2 – Ta MSCI 211 Vyvy Ta 20229611 29 July 2011 Assignment 2 1. What would theory X beliefs about students look like/be like? What about theory Y? Students that fit into theory X would only be at school to gain their credits and get their diploma. They would only put minimal effort into their studying and assignments. Their primary goal would be to pass with a minimum mark. They would take courses that are not difficult or time consuming. Students that fit into theory Y would be at school to gain knowledge and make advances in their field of study. They would put as much effort as they can into all their studies, aiming to be the best they can be. Their primary goal would be to increase their own personal knowledge and expertise in the field of study they chose. They would also take courses that are challenging and new to expand their intellectual horizons. 2. What types of policies would a school adopt if their beliefs were more "Theory X"?
