FINANCIAL STATEMENT PAPER 2 Financial Statement Paper Accounting is learned since childhood when we received money from our parents or as a birthday gift, it teach us how to manage that small amount of money. Accounting has been around since the beginning of time. In today’s business world it is fundamental to keep an accurate account for assets and liabilities of each company. Ethical accounting practices can build the base for a strong and profitable company if the information is use properly and handle the correct way. Most people may know the definition of accounting but one must know the purpose of accounting that will be cover in the following text. There are four financial statements that companies used in today’s society as a form of reporting accounting of companies. Those statements are income statement, balance sheet, retained earnings statement, and statement of cash flows, all of which are review and provide a complete understanding of accounting in today’s society.
