Geometer's Sketchpad General Instructions: The Geometer's Sketchpad program is available in the computer lab in Math 0203, open Mon – Fri., 9 am – 6 pm, or in any WAM Lab on campus. To Login:  Hold Ctrl and Alt keys, then press Del key  Log on using your user name and password for your WAM account, if you have one. If not, use your user name and password for Testudo. To open the program: Start > Programs > Applications > Geometers Sketchpad 4.03 To save a sketch as a Geometer's Sketchpad file, File > Save As [then give a name, just like Word and other programs] To copy a sketch so you can print it from Word: Use Edit > Select All to highlight your entire sketch (make sure everything is visible on the screen). Use Edit > Copy, then open a Word document and use Edit > Paste. You may need to change the Word document to "landscape" mode to make the entire sketch fit. Instructions for some Tasks: Drawing a Line : Left-click on the "line segment" icon ( ) and hold down the mouse button until the other options appear. Slide the mouse over onto the "line" icon (with arrows on both ends) and release the button. The line icon should now be highlighted ( ). Draw a line by clicking somewhere in the main drawing window, and dragging. When you initially click the button it will create a point on the line; when you release the button it will create a second point on the line. De-selecting an Object : When you first create a line or other object it will probably be pink.
