(b) The argument is deceptive because both the premise and can conclusion are ba- sically conveying the same point: Shakespeare is popular. The premise points this out by referring to his wide readership. The conclusion asserts the popularity directly. Thus the argument could be restated as Shakespeare is popular. Shakespeare is popular. (c) This is the fallacy of circular reasoning.
