HINDUISM 2 Hinduism Hinduism is a religion that started in India and was developed from Brahmanism. Hinduism is the oldest religion; it dates back to prehistoric times. The Hindu people believe religion is about how you practice not what you believe. The Hindu God is Brahman. The Hindu people can see their God in many forms, depending on the individual. They also believe in reincarnation. Reincarnation is the belief that the human soul is eternal, the soul will come back in some life form. It can be human, an animal, or even a plant body. The cycle of births and deaths are known as Samsara. The Hindu believes is that one’s Samsara is regulated by Karma. Karma is the Hindu believes that the behaviors one has in one life can haunt them in another. If they chose to live a devoted life to Brahman you will reincarnate to a higher level. The spiritual goal of a Hindu is to become one with Brahma. This is known as Moksha.
