Alan Lewis MMBA6501-5 Week 3 Discussion Assignment – Critical Thinking and Decision Making Dr. Richard Bush: Of the four options described in “Whitewater Managing” my decision-making style is most like Clark (2010) describes in Option 3: Take a little time to reduce the risk significantly. I favor this approach because there is no amount of analysis that will eliminate all elements of risk; so as such, spending too much time on such an endeavor is futile at best. Additionally, while you are contemplating all the various exposures to risk it is very likely many opportunities will be lost or diminished. It is important that there be a variety of approaches to management and decision making because there is no one method that is the best method in every situation, all of the time. There are many variables such as any of the following that may warrant different approaches to management and decision making: 1. The people involved in or affected by the decision at hand 2.
