Calculate the uniform flowrate in an earth-lined trapezoidal canal having bottom width of 3 m, sides sloping 1 vertical to 2 horizontal, laid in a slope of 0.0001and having a depth of 1.8 m. 4. At what depth will 4.25 m 3 /s flow uniformly in a rectangular channel 3.6m wide? This channel is lined with rubble and has a slope of 1 to 4000. If this channel is 2km long, plot the EGL and the HGL. 5. An earth-lined trapezoidal canal of base width 3 m and side slopes 1 vertical to 3 horizontal is to carry a 2.8 m 3 /s uniformly at a mean velocity of 0.6 m/s. What slope should it have? If this channel is 2 Km long, plot the EGL and the HGL.
